Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), established on 12 July 1960, is a prominent public university located in the historic Silk City of Bhagalpur, Bihar. The university comprises several faculties including science, social science, humanities, commerce, management studies, and law. It also houses research centers such as the Agro-Economic Research Centre and the Centre of Bioinformatics. Originally known as Bhagalpur University, it was renamed in 1991 to honor the freedom fighter Tilka Manjhi, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and patriotism.
