Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, also known as Bhagalpur University, is a premier institution for higher education in Bihar. It was established on 12th July 1960 and is situated in Bhagalpur town, named after freedom fighter Tilka Manjhi. Spanning across 264 acres, the university includes 9 Faculties, 36 Teaching Departments, 5 Research Centres, 30 Constituent Colleges, and more.

Location:

Located in the historic 'Silk City' Bhagalpur, the university is steeped in rich history. The region, once known as Champa, was the capital of ‘Anga’ during the Mahabharata era. The university is situated near historical landmarks, such as Vikramshila University and Rabindra Bhawan, making it a significant site for both education and tourism.

Campus:

The campus is spread over 246 acres with lush mango and litchi orchards, natural ponds, and various academic and research facilities. It houses the P.G. Science, Arts, and Commerce departments, a health center, library, sports stadium, auditorium, and hostels for both boys and girls.
